SAPIR ONE LOFT RACE
The Sapir One Loft Race Was established in 2010. And From our inception our One loft has built a reputation for Integrity and professionalism.
The Sapir main race for 2022 will take place on September 24th 2022. The entrant may send 5 pigeons to the race, of which 3 will be nominated leaving 2 reserves. The amount payable for the team is ZAR30 000. USD2250, 1800 Euro as applicable. Only 100 teams will be accepted at which time the loft will close. The pigeon must be rung with a 2021 official ring or younger. The intake will open on 1 Sept 2021.
Quarantine costs for the entrant. International shippers will be identified and appoint. We have a option to breed you a race team at R500.00 per pigeon. If you do not have pigeons or you are unable to ship pigeons. And you still want to participate in the race. Please contact us to discuss this potion and so we can supply you with the information on the breeding pairs for top international and quality pigeons.
PRESTIGE INVITATIONAL RACE’S commitment to you!
To provide a facility to house 500 racing pigeons in an acceptable environment to allow for excellent racing conditions. Appoint a pigeon trainer with adequate experience and understanding of a single bird loft, in so doing securing excellent racing results. To provide staff to assist the loft manager, allowing the pigeons to perform in accordance to their ability. To ensure the health of all the pigeons at all times.
The loft Manager and trainer will ensure that all the necessary vaccinations; and treatments will be given to the pigeons as and when required. Management will ensure that all the birds are trained adequately prior to their commencement of road training. The road training program will be announced and managed by the management team. The 4 hot spot races will be clearly identified and announced. The final race will be from approximately 650km and will take place, on the 24th of September of each participating year.
All entry fees will be paid into the Sapir bank account. To ensure that all prize monies are guaranteed. Sapir will be allowed to draw down of these entry fees for costs to host the event. The Benzing live system will provide all the results of the training flights, hot spot races and the final race. The results and averages of all participants will be posted.

HOT SPOT CONDITIONS AND FINAL RACE
Only 3 pigeons of the entered team can be nominated no later than 1 week before the first training race. Only these pigeons will qualify for the hot spot and final race prizes. The remaining pigeons will in all participate races. The breeder will have one opportunity to change his nomination 1 week prior to the first hot spot. Should a breeder’s nominated bird be lost, a reserve bird of his choice will take its place. The new nominated bird will then qualify for the prizes. Should the nominated pigeon be injured or unfit to fly as deemed by the Sapir management. A substitution from your reserve pigeons is allowed. The new nominated pigeon will then qualify for the prizes.
Prize Money, Auctions and Pedigrees
On conclusion of the race season the remaining pigeons will go on auction. The auction process and auctioneer will be at the discretion of the SAPIR ONE LOFT Management. The auction may consist of a live and or web auction or a combination of both. Live auctions may take place at a venue or at various clubs. This will be solely the SAPIR management’s discretion. All Auction process will be transparent and fair for all. Once a pigeon bid exceeds R500 . 50% of the net proceeds after sale costs will be paid to the activator of the pigeon. The balance of the sale proceeds will go to the SAPIR ONE LOFT. When entering the race it is compulsory to supply a pedigree with the entered team / pigeons. Entrants are encouraged to supply pedigrees showing a minimum of 2 generations to maximize the sale price of the birds. These pedigrees can be supplied with the birds when they are dropped off at the SAPIR ONE LOFT office or to the agents or scanned and emailed to info@sapir.co.za direct. If pigeons are supplied without a pedigree, there will be no pay-out of sale proceeds. Pigeons without pedigrees will belong to the SAPIR ONE LOFT and sold or given away in the absolute discretion of SAPIR ONE LOFT management. If a syndicate is registering pigeons for participation there must be one nominated individual or company for communication purposes and for receipt of prize money and after race sale proceeds. SAPIR ONE LOFT management will only take instructions from the appointed person about syndicate birds.
Force Majeure
In this Clause "Event of Force Majeure" means an event beyond the control of the Authority and the Operator, which prevents a Party from complying with any of its obligations under this Contract, including but not limited to: 1. act of God (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, drought, tidal waves and floods);
2. war, hostilities (whether war be declared or not), invasion, act of foreign enemies, mobilization, requisition, or embargo;
3. rebellion, revolution, insurrection, or military or usurped power, or civil war;
4. riot, commotion, strikes, go slows, lock outs or disorder, unless solely restricted to employees of the Supplier or of his Sub-contractors; or
5. pandemics, widespread or localized disease outbreaks, shutdown of air traffic; or
6. acts or threats of terrorism; or
7. veterinary restrictions
In the event of Force Majeure being declared prior to the final race
1. Entrants shall be given an option to be paid a full refund or to receive a credit for activations for the following race season.
2. Free entries carried forward from the previous season shall be carried forward one year further to the following race season.
General
No shareholder in the company SAPIR ONE LOFT or any member of the management or training team or any direct family members of shareholders, managers or trainers may participate for prize money in the race. The pigeons entered into the final race and the prize money winning pigeons will be verified by independent auditors. Upon entry to the race it is deemed that the entrant fully understands and agrees to the terms and conditions contained herein. Any dispute that may arise after any race or the interpretation of these terms and conditions must be referred in the first instance to.
